As a natural beekeeper, I am part of a natural, treatment free group based out of Oxford in the UK. This is primarily run by a group of volunteers, with Paul Honigmann managing the technicalities and administration. Paul has been a beekeeper for many years, and to our delight, has written a book called The Observant Beekeeper. This is an ode to the beautiful bee. Conventional beekeepers, sometimes sadly, are so focused on good honey production that they lose sight of the 5 senses we should use to observe bee health before intervention. Paul, in his extensive book, provides a thorough understanding with many pictures - including some of mine! - of how to observe bee behaviour and manage bees from the bee perspective, not the human perspective.
