About Us
Anglesey Bees is run by Dafydd and Dawn Jones from their smallholding in Llanddaniel, Anglesey. They produce award-winning Anglesey wildflower honey in small batches with the greatest respect for the honey, their bees and their environment. They received a 1-star Great Taste Award in 2024 for their Anglesey Summer Wildflower Honey and a 2-star Great Taste Award in 2025 for their Anglesey Spring Wildflower Honey. Their honey preparation premises have a food hygiene rating of 5 (very good). They are members of the Bee Farmers Association and Food and Drink Wales Honey Cluster, with accreditation as commercial beekeepers and honey producers. They have planted 1,000 broad-leaved trees with support from the Woodland Trust, with species chosen specifically for nectar and pollen production. They also offer Visit Wales accredited beekeeping experiences and beekeeping training for beginners and APHA-funded Hive-Side Training for improvers from April to August.
