Dani's Bees is a multi-award winning honey producer founded in 2021 by Dani, who began her beekeeping journey in 2016 after seeking better pollination for a poly tunnel. After completing a beginner's beekeeping course in Elgin in 2017 and joining the Aberdeen & District Beekeeping Association Beginners Classes, Dani brought home her first colony from Crathes Castle in May 2018. She has since passed the Scottish Beekeepers Association Basic Beekeeping exam with distinction. Based in Montrose, Angus, Dani's Bees produces 100% natural, unpasteurised, single-origin honey named after the specific apiary location where the bees collected the nectar — examples include Fasque honey, heather honey, and Aberdeen honey. The honey is gently filtered through five separate filters and never heated above hive temperature, preserving natural enzymes. The business has accumulated 71 awards to date, including recognition at the Royal Highland Show, the Scottish National Honey Championship, and the Aberdeen and District Beekeepers Association Honey Show. Products include honey and beeswax. Dani holds certifications in Food Hygiene, Honey Sensory Analysis Level 1, and holds a Great Taste Star. The business also trades at farmers markets across Scotland.
