Pinner & Ruislip Beekeepers Association

Pinner & Ruislip Beekeepers Association was founded in 1954 through the amalgamation of the Pinner Beekeepers Association (established 1928) and the Ruislip Beekeepers Association. The association was granted charitable status in 1986 (No 290514). Based at The Corbell Beekeeping Centre in Ruislip, they keep bees and produce local honey that is unrefined and not treated for extended shelf life, meaning it retains high pollen content. This makes it notably different from supermarket honey and potentially beneficial for hay fever sufferers. Their bees forage up to 5km from the hive, collecting nectar and pollen from locally growing flowers. Honey is sold directly at their clubhouse, which is open every Sunday morning. The association is active in promoting beekeeping education, offering beginner courses and supporting members. They emphasise the importance of honeybees in pollination and food production, and actively encourage new beekeepers to help combat threats such as parasitic mites and disease. The clubhouse is open to visitors and prospective members.
