About Us
Pure Yorkshire Honey is run by Andy and Kay, a husband-and-wife team who keep bees on and around their own farm in North Yorkshire. They joined the Richmondshire District Beekeeping Association in late 2018 and began with their first colony of Carniolan bees. In early 2022 they expanded to include a colony of Buckfast bees, known for their gentle temperament. Andy has completed three years of formal beekeeping training and aspires to become a Master Beekeeper, while Kay oversees honey extraction, bottling, and the creation of bee-derived products such as lip balms, soaps, and other items made using their own beeswax and honey. Their honey is taken straight from the hive and simply filtered before bottling, with no additional processing. Beyond honey, they offer a carefully curated range of products including beeswax candles, skincare, soaps, jewellery, clothing, beekeeping supplies, and gift sets. They also offer hive sponsorship, swarm collection, and queens and nucs for sale. Many of their products are plastic-free and zero waste. They operate from Hunters Hill Farm in Crakehall, Bedale, with set opening hours on Fridays and Saturdays, and also sell online.
