Ramsbottom Honey is run by beekeeping friends Brendan and Ruth, who are both members of the British Beekeeping Association. Based in the town of Ramsbottom in Greater Manchester, they currently manage in excess of 20 hives across multiple sites, including out apiaries and corporate client premises. Their main apiary is described as a rural site in Ramsbottom. As well as producing and supplying honey, they also supply bees and beekeeping equipment to the local community and beyond. A significant part of their work is education: they offer a range of beekeeping courses including Beekeeper Taster Sessions, a half-day Visit a Beehive experience, a full-day Introduction to Beekeeping course, and beekeeping talks to local community groups and schools. They also run the 'Bee Degree', a bespoke and customisable educational scheme designed to encourage children to explore and engage with the natural world and experience beekeeping first-hand. Popular 'Meet the Bees' sessions are set to return in 2026. They serve local community groups, schools, and corporate clients across Greater Manchester and are passionate advocates for bee conservation under the banner of #savethebees.
