Swales Honey

Swales Honey is a family-run beekeeping business established in 1975 by Trevor Swales, based in Osmotherley on the western edge of the North Yorkshire Moors National Park. Trevor began keeping bees at age 16, taking over from his father who had a couple of hives, and the original apiary site remains in use to this day. The business has grown from using traditional WBC hives to more practical, modern hives that are easier to manage and transport to flowering crops and onto the surrounding heather moors. Bees forage throughout the North Yorkshire countryside, producing 100% pure honey with no additives. The product range includes three varieties: a runny golden clear flower honey, a creamy spreadable set flower honey, and a dark, distinctively aromatic heather honey. Swales Honey has supplied Lewis and Cooper, a world-renowned gourmet food emporium in Northallerton, continuously for over 30 years, with their honey described as 'regarded by honey aficionados as some of the best in the world.' Honey can be purchased online with UK mainland delivery, directly from the door at their Osmotherley address via an honesty box, or from the local Top Shop on North End in Osmotherley.
