The Honey Herd is a small-scale honey producer based on the island of Anglesey, North Wales, founded by Paul Hearn, a former chef who previously ran a restaurant called Sheeps and Leeks. Inspired by conversations with a local beekeeper who supplied honey to his restaurant, Paul took up beekeeping as a hobby that quickly grew into a full passion. The business produces pure, raw, and unfiltered honey that reflects the wildflowers, clover fields, and landscape of Anglesey. Paul's philosophy centres on harmony with nature, sustainability, craftsmanship, and deep respect for the bees. Beyond their own hives, The Honey Herd collaborates with like-minded beekeepers across Wales and the UK, sourcing exceptional natural honeys and bee-based products from those who share the same values. The business also raises healthy nucleus colonies for sale, supporting both new and experienced beekeepers. Additional services include swarm catching and bee removal, available on a free-quote basis. Their product range extends beyond honey to include beeswax lip balm, beeswax candles, beeswax food wraps, honeycomb chunks, and beekeeping accessories such as aprons and hats.
